Movie Review: G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra (2009)

So, I finally decided to watch G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra on DVD last night
with knowing that it wouldn't be good. I was right, the movie was completely
lacking of any substance or cleverness. It was literally like watching a 10-year
old boy playing with his Cobra and G.I. Joe toys in the sandbox, but with a bigger
budget.

It kind of reminded me of Batman and Robin and its stupid toyetic, vapid, and
big-budgeted nature. Well, at least that movie had its charms with Arnold's "witty"
ancedotes. Which I can't say for the dialogue in this one because it was just plain
crap instead of being humorously bad.

For the one positive thing I can say for this is that the designs for the vehicles/sets
were pretty interesting to look at.(Despite having very poor security. ) Plus, Rachel
Weiss was pretty hot as Scarlett.

For my final verdict, don't plan on watching this one, unless you're a 10-year old boy
who loves mindless action. For everyone else, just watch the Robot Chicken G.I.Joe
sketches instead.
