I just saw this in theaters a few days ago and boy was it exceptionally good.
For being absent from the American movie theaters for so long, this movie was
a big shot in the arm for the franchise to gain back mainstream attention
in the U.S. I really hope this leads to more movies starring the other monsters
from the Toho library.

As for the actual film itself, there's an entire sense of an otherworldly perspective
regarding the monsters and how the matters of human civilization completely pails
in front of their endeavors. No matter what we throw at them, they're completely
unconcerned with our matters and we are nothing but ants to them. That really
evokes "Lovecraftian" lore of the eldritch abominations viewing us as absolutely
nothing in grand schemes beyond our world.

There were quite a few good action scenes where Godzilla uses his strategies to
defeat the MUTOS in an assortment of badass techniques (i.e. Shooting his
signature atomic breath down the female MUTO's neck and then breaking off her
jawbone). He was just badass in everything, not giving a damn in what he does
or how much destruction he causes as long as defeats those who pose a threat
to his well-being.

Overall, I enjoyed this film and can't wait to see the sequel where go against
all the other iconic monsters in the Toho library. (As long as they permit them,
of course).

Trailers: Into The Storm, Expendables III, 22 Jump Street, Maleficent, Lucy,
and Interstellar
This is my short review of the latest movie I saw in theaters.
Enjoy. :)

A trilogy has been confirmed this week by Thomas Tull and Gareth Edwards. :)   2018 is when we may expect the second film.
